After using bespoke CMS tools for a decade I discovered WordPress in 2009. That solution quickly became my go-to tool for building websites. In the years that followed, I was able to contribute back to the core software with some small refinements.

Before I pivoted my professional career towards web development, I was a Research Analyst in the field of Molecular Biology. Being a computer fanatic from the Commodore 64 / Amiga era onwards, this eventually drove me towards my current career path, and I never looked back.
